Education Ministry: Connie Armstead

Children bring vibrant energy and enthusiasm to our Cornerstone fellowship as they learn and talk about Jesus and the many Bible stories. We want kids to feel a valued part of the Cornerstone Church family and be recognized as ‘young disciples’. It is often said that “Children are the church of tomorrow,” but Jesus doesn’t wait until tomorrow. He welcomes them into the Church today! Encourage and facilitate these ‘child disciples’ to develop their gifts and talents now!

We also want to motivate and energize adult and teen volunteers to become a vital part of our Children’s Ministries programs. There are many opportunities for you to help:

  • Mentor younger children
  • Assist with Adventure Club and Vacation Bible Schools
  • Teach or assist with Sabbath School lesson study and Children’s Church
  • Developing music talent
  • Evangelistic meetings for children

You don’t have to be a Cornerstone member to help with Children’s Ministries!

To volunteer, please contact Connie.

  • Create and train motivated Christian outreach teams to formulate plans for neighborhood Bible studies, monthly seeker-friendly events, and need-based projects.

Worship Ministry: Jane McDonald

Cornerstone welcomes you every Saturday morning to worship God, our Creator. With prayer and guidance by the Holy Spirit, we desire to provide for you a meaningful and vibrant worship experience. At Cornerstone we enjoy a blended worship which includes traditional hymns as well as contemporary songs. The music is enhanced by a variety of instruments and led by praise teams, soloists and occasionally, a children’s choir. We invite you to join us in lifting up the name of Jesus through music, prayer, children’s messages and powerful preaching. We truly believe that Cornerstone is a place where grace comes alive.

“But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”

---John 4:23-24

As we begin reviewing architectural plans, and consulting with officials of the Van Metre Companies and local residents to ensure that our building vision will enhance the already attractive Stone Ridge community, we welcome comments and suggestions from residents of Stone Ridge and neighboring communities.
