Cornerstone Church Purchases Loudoun Property
Cornerstone Vision
Cornerstone Church has selected the Stone Ridge community in Loudoun County’s South Dulles District as the building site for our new church sanctuary and education center. The church complex will be situated on the 4.45 acre land parcel at the corner of Greenstone Drive and Stone Springs Boulevard. The Van Metre Companies, in their original Stone Ridge community development plan, had designated the Cornerstone property as a future church building site.
Our Cornerstone Church family is truly excited about the acquisition of this property in the Stone Ridge community. The Stone Ridge site offers multiple opportunities for us to support the expanding populations of Stone Ridge and nearby communities with a variety of spiritual, educational, social and physical program venues for all ages. Our goal is to create a spiritual-centered environment where everyone feels welcome.
Property Location
The 4.45-acre Cornerstone property is situated at the intersection of Stone Springs Boulevard and Greenstone Drive near the center of the Van Metre Companies Stone Ridge community. The wooded site is adjacent to a community swimming pool, Loudoun County recreational fields, and a day care center.
Van Metre Companies’ Stone Ridge community presently includes single-family residences, town homes, condominiums, apartments, a commercial and retail business center, a community center, two swimming pools, and an elementary school and a middle school.
Regional Outreach
The Stone Ridge Community is located alongside the rapidly developing Route 50 business and residential corridor, immediately west of Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD). In close proximity to Stone Ridge will be the new South Loudoun County Hospital, the Albert Van Metre Capital Hospice Center and the Arcola Center, a 400-acre property development that combines residential, commercial, retail, entertainment, and cultural activities.
The Stone Ridge Church location is also within a 5 to 25 minute driving time for residents of virtually all the homes and communities supporting Northern Virginia’s major internet, telecommunications, and other high-tech companies in Loudoun, western Fairfax and northern Prince William counties, e.g., South Riding, Aldie, Middleburg, Ashburn, Brambleton, Leesburg, Sterling, Herndon, Reston, Chantilly, and Centreville.

Construction Timetable
Cornerstone Church is not yet able to announce a construction timetable. As we complete the land acquisition or property phase of the project, we are reviewing architectural plans, and will consult with officials of the Van Metre Companies and local residents to ensure that our building vision will truly enhance the already attractive Stone Ridge community.
